Less guessing. A date to look back at.
Was the bedding changed last weekend or the weekend before? Create a calendar for the task, mark the date when you do it and look back at the most recent X next time you wonder.
Record it once. Find the date later.
Use specific names such as “Changed bedding” or “Watered living-room plants”. If different plants have different watering needs, give them separate calendars so the dates do not get mixed together.
- Watering plants: mark when you watered a particular plant or group.
- Cleaning: keep a record of less frequent tasks, such as cleaning the oven.
- Changing bedding: mark the day the fresh sheets went on.
These tasks do not need a daily streak. An occasional X can be all you need to remember when something was last done.
